Biography

Dr Lincoln Liow Ming Han is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Adult Reconstruction at Singapore General Hospital. He performs over 400 joint replacements per year and specializes in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) for hip and knee replacements, robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery, and complex joint reconstruction. He was awarded the Singapore Armed Forces Medicine Scholarship to pursue medicine and holds multiple qualifications including Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery).

Dr Liow completed two prestigious overseas fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, which is ranked as the world's best specialized hospital for orthopaedics by Newsweek. During his senior residency, he was appointed Chairman of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association Trainee Committee. He also serves as a Lieutenant Colonel and Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Consultant in the Singapore Armed Forces Navy Medical Service.

As an academic orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Liow has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and serves as an editorial board member on the Journal of Arthroplasty. His research focuses on orthopaedic biomechanics, particularly in-vivo knee biomechanics using advanced imaging techniques. While search results do not confirm his receipt of the TOYP Singapore Merit Award in 2021 for Medical Innovation, his extensive contributions to orthopaedic surgery and medical research demonstrate significant achievements in the field of medical innovation.
