Biography

Vivian Claire Liew is a distinguished Singaporean leader who was recognized as a Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Singapore Merit Award recipient in 2015 for her Contribution to Children, World Peace, and/or Human Rights. She is the Founding Chief Executive Officer of PhilanthropyWorks, an organization that advises governments and business families on sustainable development and transformative philanthropy.

Before founding PhilanthropyWorks, Vivian had an impressive career in global financial institutions, working at The World Bank, Goldman Sachs, and UBS across four continents. She holds educational credentials from prestigious institutions including the University of Pennsylvania (Huntsman Program at Wharton), Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Harvard Kennedy School.

Vivian was named Young Global Leader 2015 by the World Economic Forum and has served on multiple boards including the Securities Investors' Association of Singapore and as the first Asian elected to the board of Medecins sans Frontieres Brussels. She is recognized as an expert in climate finance, advising sovereign wealth funds and leading financial institutions on climate impact valuation. Her organization has achieved significant results including 30% income increases in job-training projects and doubled education rates in various initiatives.
