Biography
Isaiah Chng is a Singapore-based social entrepreneur and health consultant who has dedicated over 11 years of his life to transforming eldercare and workplace wellness. At age 23, following a spiritual transformation in 2006, Chng felt called to work with the elderly after witnessing poor conditions in nursing homes. He founded ProAge at age 25, initially registering the company from a couch in Perth after running a free wellness program at his church, Cornerstone Community Church.
Chng serves as Managing Director and Principal Health Consultant of ProAge, a strategic workplace health consultancy that works with leading multinational corporations including Marina Bay Sands, Hewlett Packard, Great Eastern, and Rajah & Tann. ProAge won the Healthcare Supplier Awards from the National Healthcare Group. He also founded and sits on the board of Empower Ageing, a non-profit organization that seeks to reverse frailty, reduce social isolation, and enhance the lives of seniors with dementia through innovative programs including six-week lifelong learning courses.
In 2018, Chng was conferred Singapore's Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Award by Junior Chamber International (JCI) for his significant contributions in the field of eldercare and human rights. He was previously recognized in 2015 with the Youth Social Enterprise (Commendation) Presidential Award. As an accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine, Chng is a sought-after speaker who has appeared on various media channels including Channel News Asia, Channel 5, Channel 8, and radio stations, discussing functional health, active aging, and intergenerational solidarity.
