Biography
Professor Ho Ghim Wei is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore. She specializes in solar energy conversion technologies and focuses her research on energy and environmental sustainability.
In 2015, Prof Ho was honored as a recipient of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Singapore Award in the Scientific and/or Technological Development category. She was recognized among 14 finalists selected from approximately 200 nominees for her outstanding contributions to science and technology.
Prof Ho has established herself as a leading researcher in her field, having secured research funding in excess of $10 million as principal investigator and co-principal investigator. She has published more than 80 scientific articles primarily in the field of solar energy conversion technologies and was awarded the L'OREAL UNESCO for Women in Science Fellowship in 2014.
