Biography
Irwin See is the founder and Managing Director of Irwin's Study Pte Ltd, a specialized General Paper (GP) tuition center that he established in 2009. He graduated with a Master's degree (Distinction) from Oxford University and a Bachelor's degree (1st Class Honours) from the London School of Economics. A former Ministry of Education (MOE) junior college teacher, he was awarded a Distinction for his Postgraduate Diploma in Education at the National Institute of Education, Singapore, and was a recipient of the Public Service Commission (PSC) Overseas Scholarship.
Through his tuition center, Irwin has helped more than 1,000 JC students excel in their A-level General Paper exams, with over 80% of his students scoring 'A' or 'B' grades annually. Since 2010, his center has partnered with MENDAKI in its A-Level Tuition Subsidy Scheme, providing free and subsidized GP tuition for students from lower-income families. In 2019, he received recognition as a TOYP Singapore Merit Award recipient in the Academic Leadership and/or Accomplishment category for his contributions to education.
Beyond education, Irwin has been actively involved in community service and social initiatives. In June 2018, he founded The Seed Initiative as the social arm of Irwin's Study, providing seed funding and mentoring for social projects that promote positive change in health, education, equality, and social justice. He has been appointed as Chairman of one of the Advisory Committees of Singapore Cancer Society's 'Help the Children and Youth Programme' and has contributed to various platforms including MENDAKI and Singapore Cancer Society's assistance programmes.
