Dr Fatimah binte Abdul Lateef was born on 16 March 1966 and is a Singaporean doctor specializing in emergency medicine and former politician. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Medicine, subsequently obtaining an FRCS (A&E) from the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with subspecializations in Emergency Cardiovascular and Neurovascular care and Prehospital care Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia and the University of Cincinnati.
A member of the People's Action Party (PAP), she served as Member of Parliament representing the Geylang Serai ward of Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency from 2006 to 2020. She was first elected to parliament at the 2006 general election and represented her constituency for 14 years before retiring from politics in 2020. She is currently a senior consultant in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Singapore General Hospital.
