Biography

Shann Sok Aixuan is a Singaporean real estate entrepreneur and the Group CEO of Kingsland Development, a family-founded company with over 40 years of history in commercial and industrial property development in Singapore.

Armed with an accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University, she joined the company at age 23 — initially in the business development department of the group’s plastics manufacturing arm — before being transferred to the real estate division three years later.

Over time, she grew into a pivotal strategic force within the company, successfully pushing her father and founder Sok Hang Chaw to diversify the business beyond industrial projects into commercial, hospitality, data centre, and international markets including China, Malaysia, and Cambodia.

Her most defining business move was championing the development of Kingsland Data Centre, a 208,000 sq ft, five-storey high-tech facility that cost over $100 million to build and opened in 2015. Beyond real estate, she also founded her own medical aesthetics company, demonstrating her drive to build an independent entrepreneurial identity alongside her family business.

Achievements

Shann Sok Aixuan’s most landmark achievement was spearheading the Kingsland Data Centre project, which was subsequently 99% acquired by Keppel DC REIT for $295 million — a deal that both validated her bold vision and earned her the full trust and confidence of her father.

She has been recognised internationally as a leading businesswoman in a male-dominated industry, and was nominated as the Finance & Commerce nominee for the Great Women Of Our Time Awards 2019, organised by Women’s Weekly Singapore.

Under her leadership, Kingsland Development expanded regionally, with Shann steering the group’s US$250 million Global Tech Exchange mixed development project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, comprising a hotel, retail and office space, IT media hub, and data centre.

She has also demonstrated philanthropic leadership, making a personal donation of USD $5,000 alongside the Kingsland Group’s broader USD $40,000 charitable contribution. Beyond business, she is an advocate for women in leadership, encouraging young women to believe in themselves and pursue careers in industries that have traditionally been dominat
