Biography

Denise Keller is a Singaporean television presenter, producer, and former MTV VJ who has built a distinguished career in media and entertainment. Born on March 24, 1982, to a Chinese Singaporean mother and German father, she launched her career after winning the Ford Supermodel of the World competition in 2000. She became the first Singaporean to be cast as a VJ on MTV Asia, where she served for seven years, hosting top-rated shows including the MTV Asia Music Awards and the VMAs in New York City.

Keller later transitioned to travel hosting, becoming known for her award-winning work on Discovery Channel and TLC's Passage series, including Passage to Malaysia, Passage to Abu Dhabi, and Passage to China. She won the Best Entertainment Presenter trophy at the Asian Television Awards in 2011 for Passage to Malaysia. Her latest series was Expedition X: Silk Road Rising, which followed the ancient trade route from Istanbul to Xi'an, China. She has also hosted major events including two Singapore National Day Parades and represented HBO on the red carpet at the Oscars.

Beyond entertainment, Keller is a certified yoga instructor with 500-hour certification through Yoga Alliance USA, teaching at venues like Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. She founded Keller Media, a content production company with her husband Robert Gaxiola, focusing on lifestyle, travel, and wellness content. Keller is also active in environmental advocacy, serving as a Towards Zero Waste ambassador for Singapore's Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources. She married creative director Robert Gaxiola in 2015 and they have two daughters born in 2022 and 2024.
