Dato David Cheang

Dato David Cheang is a Singaporean property developer and business leader who overcame significant financial adversity to build a successful career in real estate. Born into a family facing dire financial circumstances, he became the guarantor for his parents' debts at just 21 years old, which led to a family bankruptcy that profoundly shaped his drive for success.

Beginning his real estate career in 2000 on a bicycle while completing his degree at UOL-SIM and serving national service, Cheang rose through the ranks of Singapore's property industry. He achieved remarkable success at PropNex Realty, winning multiple top director awards, before taking on leadership roles at HSR and RE/MAX Singapore Empire Property Group, where he managed hundreds of agents and helped transform agencies into market leaders.

In 2013, Cheang founded DC13 Development, his own property development and construction firm. The company has been involved in various projects including landed properties in Pasir Ris and the Neem Tree condominium development in the Balestier area. In 2015, he was recognized as a Merit Award recipient in the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Singapore programme by JCI Singapore for Personal Improvement and/or Accomplishment, acknowledging his remarkable journey from financial hardship to entrepreneurial success.
